It is an automated system for applying hoods to the outside of the case, designed for tray type cases case packers. The hood machine is the ideal supplement to a semi-automatic packing process or can function as a separate solution for production lines. The capacity of the machine is up to 13 hoods per minute (depending on board thickness and hood size). It is a separate station integrated with the customer’s case packer. Once the hood magazine has been loaded, the system allows the top hood to be applied fully automatically to the tray cases. The machine thus optimizes and streamlines the production process. The main features include an adjustable hood magazine, a vertical mechanism with a servo drive, a glue melter or an adjustable hood feeding arm. In addition, the machine is equipped with a conveyor feeding cases from the customer’s line to the hood application system with a stopper.
